Independent test results show the Muller ATF™ Ankle Brace does not hamper jumping, speed and agility.Many braces effectively reduce excessive inversion and eversion, but hamper athletic performance such as running, speed and jumping ability. Twenty-five male athletes (age = 16.6 ± 0.7 yr.) who did not have a history of ankle injury within the previous year were tested. The test entailed a vertical jump, pro agility (25 yd. shuttle) and 20 yd. sprint, both braced and non-braced. No significant differences were found between the subjects' tests, whether braced or non-braced, i.e. the ATF™ allows unrestricted foot movement.
